When we were in Ferrara recently, we ate at Gigina's.
We tried the traditional Ferrara chocolate cake, were able to get the recipe from our good friend Anna.
Since Mom is visiting this week, master Chocolate cake maker Pelle, decided to give it a whirl.
“Tenerina” recipe
| 180 g dark chocolate 100 g butter 200 g sugar 3 eggs 1 spoon of flour |
Melt “a bagnomaria” the chocolate and butter and leave it to cool.
Whip the egg whites. Mix the 3 yolks, flour, sugar and add slowly the whipped egg whites. Finally add the cooled chocolate mix.
Grease and dust a cake plate, put the dough and let it cook for 30 minutes in the oven at 180°C. Enjoy!
